Introduction to IFOT WORKSHOP

Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Therapy

Focusing is a body-centred and person-centred approach to healing that Eugene Gendlin developed two decades ago at the University of Chicago.

Indigenous focusing-oriented therapy (IFOT) is a land-based adaption of focusing-oriented therapy, steeped in an "All my Relations" philosophy that allows clients to control the pace and direction of their healing journey.

It is particularly effective in the treatment and healing of complex trauma and post-traumatic stress caused by : Colonization, Residential School, Family Violence, Addictions, Loss and Grieving, Suicides, Sexual-Physical-Emotional Abuse.
